Given that our company is located (and we live) in Portland, I figure I can comment on this one…Indeed, these facts are touted here on a regular basis, and it is hard to argue the merits of bike commuting (save the issue of getting rather wet in our particularly damp climate). The one point not analyzed here (and the point that keeps me from riding more regularly) is the rate of car vs. bike accidents. It does seem that there is a rather high number of accidents in said category and that the mortality rate would negate some of the stated benefits. Beyond that, pretty impressive stats!
